Navigate in complete safety In an emergency situation, a reliable communications device is essential. The Garmin 215i AIS VHF, rugged, compact, waterproof, and equipped with DSC (Digital Selective Calling) ensures excellent transmission and reception quality.
It also allows you to view on your chartplotter the AIS (Automatic Identification System) data of classes A and B, the identification information and the data relating to the position, course and speed of surrounding vessels that are within the range of the VHF.
Unlimited connection Easy to install and use, the new VHF 215i AIS connects via the NMEA 2000 network to compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays via the NMEA 2000® network. The new VHF 215i AIS features Class D DSC digital selective calling for distress calls and direct calls with a user-programmed MMSI, for safety in any situation. The VHF 215i is also compatible with the GHS 11i second radio station.
