Inmarsat Cobham Fleet One

Cobham, Fleet One, was designed to meet the needs of yachts,
motorboats and medium-sized fishing boats, allowing telephone and data communications a
special rates divided into two economic price ranges Green zone and Gray zone more expensive but
in any case largely competitive.The terminal will allow users to:
- Have a reliable one available
telephone system.
- Have a means for tracking the
own boat.
- Have access to information
weather, information on ports, etc.
- Have an efficient system on board
of mailing.
Fleet One ensures a service
"Global", like all systems
Inmarsat, but with specific rates
for selected geographic areas. In
essentially the "special" rates
they will only apply to traffic
originated within the areas of
green service (see
Image n.2), outside the
which will be charged a fee of
roaming.
The new system, of reduced
size, is based on the
long proven technology
Sailor (with over 35,000 terminals ad
active on the market today) and ranks
in terms of performance between the terminal
Mini-M (soon to be discontinued) e
the current FB150 terminal.
