The Shakespear GALAXY INFL8 emergency VHF antenna is ready for use in an instant thanks to the integrated CO2 cartridge but can also be inflated by hand using the dedicated mouthpiece. The antenna body is 1.6 meters (5 feet) tall and transmits with 3dB gain.
It features two 600mm long Velcro straps with eyelets that offer various installation options.
Versatile, high-quality connection to a radio via the PL-259 connector mounted on the 6.3 m long RG174 cable (Ø 3 mm). Connect the Shakespear GALAXY INFL8 emergency antenna to your portable radio with an SMA antenna connector (external thread / female) using the included SMA adapter (internal thread / male). The solderless UHF connector can be used to connect the antenna to the VHF antenna cable already present on board.
Note: Not intended for use as a personal flotation device Despite its high visibility the antenna is not considered a visual emergency signal Not suitable for underwater excursions and man overboard situations
