AIS Built-in Transceiver
Navigate safely with this Class B VHF transceiver and built-in GPS. With eight connected handsets (four wired and four wireless) and four external speakers, you can stay connected from anywhere on board. The RS-100-B comes bundled with the GPS-500 for enhanced AIS functionality.
Expandable with other receivers and speakers
The RS-100-B model comes with one wired handset and one speaker, but you can add up to four additional Simrad RS60 wireless handsets and three additional RS100 wired handsets, plus up to three additional external speakers, turning your radio into an onboard intercom. Each wireless handset with inductive charging duplicates the radio's display and controls on a large, easy-to-read screen that's viewable in all lighting conditions, with an intuitive user interface. It provides access to all key functions with channel scan and favorites, an alphanumeric keypad, clear audio, handset station naming, and 60-second audio rewind.
See and be seen with integrated AIS
The RS100-B includes a Class B AIS transceiver that not only receives AIS targets but also broadcasts your vessel's position to nearby AIS-equipped vessels. This will allow other mariners to locate your vessel in any conditions, day or night. A built-in AIS receiver monitors the position of other AIS-equipped vessels nearby, helping to avoid potential collisions in crowded harbors and canals. AIS information can be displayed on the radio's built-in screen or overlaid on a chart or radar screen using a compatible multifunction display.
