The GX2410E marine radio from STANDARD HORIZON is the next evolution of the popular GX2400E. NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 interfaces are standard features on the GX2410E, with the addition of a built-in 66-channel GPS receiver with reliable GPS reception and an AIS receiver. Received AIS data can be transferred to your chartplotter using NMEA2000 or NMEA0183 protocols. The built-in VHF splitter allows you to use a single FM antenna for both the VHF and AIS receivers.
The GX2410E marine radio's large 2.6" x 1.4" (66 x 36 mm) LCD screen clearly displays all AIS targets in reception. MMSI codes allow the sailor to identify nearby vessels that are transmitting and determine their course and speed. The display shows the target vessel's real-time MMSI number, call sign, vessel name, compass bearing, distance, and speed and course over ground. A dangerous approach alarm can also be set (adjustable CPA alarm).
With the GX2410E marine radio, you can also send an automatic DSC call to a selected AIS target. The great advantage of this is that you don't have to enter the 9-digit MMSI number of the selected vessel. Simply select the target on the AIS screen and then press the call button.
Take advantage of the Standard Horizon GX2410E's built-in NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 interfaces. These connections allow you to share AIS data with other devices on your NMEA2000 network, or send AIS data directly to a chart plotter via NMEA0183. Likewise, you can send GPS data from external sources to the GX2410E via NMEA2000 or NMEA0183. This is especially useful when installing the radio where the internal GPS signal is not available.
Thanks to its integrated GPS antenna, the GX2410E is also a useful navigation aid, with the ability to store up to 250 waypoints and 30 routes. These waypoints can be selected and controlled using the compass display.
If a speaker is connected, the device can also be used as an intercom. The GX2410E can be connected to a secondary control panel, a waterproof keypad ideal for installation on the external helm station, at the helm, or in the cockpit. The intercom function remains available even with an additional control device, and it will be possible to make "calls" between the different connected devices.
