Furuno Italia presents the new color radar model M1815 designed for small pleasure, fishing or work boats. Its strong point is its size and value for money. The color display is 8.4 ”and the power is 4 kw with a 32-mile Radome antenna and 488 mm in diameter.

Despite being a small and compact radar, it has the features of a professional model, such as the reception of ARPA targets, AIS (100 targets) and the Echo Trail, Auto Mode and Echo Average functions. The target tracking function (ARPA) has been significantly improved by reducing the target acquisition time. The tracking of 10 ARPA targets in FAST AQUISITION mode is foreseen which requires only a few seconds of response from the apparatus before starting the automatic plotting. Echo Trail is a useful function to understand in which direction the echoes are moving based on the trails that are drawn on the monitor, while the Echo Average function helps to reduce disturbances related to rough seas. Heading data is always required for the ARPA, AIS, Echo Trail and Echo Average functions.

The M1835 radar also uses the latest signal processing technology for GAIN, Sea and RAIN adjustment. Introduced with the latest series of DRS radar antennas, it guarantees better reliability and superior performance compared to the past.

The new M1815 model has the same menus and screen layout as the best-selling radar in the professional M1835 market which makes it easy and intuitive to use. The keyboard has been simplified while maintaining functionality, features and performance comparable to a professional radar.

The M1815 radar features the same chassis as the FCV588 sonar, allowing for a harmonious dashboard design for boats that install both systems.

The installation of this new model is made easier by the “pig tail” cable which avoids opening the antenna to make the connections.
