Furuno Italia presents the new M1815 color radar designed for small pleasure, fishing, or commercial vessels. Its strengths are its size and value for money. The 8.4" color display delivers 4 kW of power, with a 32-mile, 488 mm diameter Radome antenna.
Despite being a small and compact radar, it has the features of a professional model, such as ARPA target reception, AIS (100 targets), and Echo Trail, Auto Mode, and Echo Average functions. The target tracking (ARPA) function has been significantly improved, reducing target acquisition time. It can track up to 10 ARPA targets in FAST AQUISITION mode, which requires only a few seconds of response from the device before starting automatic plotting. Echo Trail is a useful function for understanding the direction in which the echoes are moving based on the trails drawn on the monitor, while the Echo Average function helps reduce clutter caused by rough seas. Heading data is always required for the ARPA, AIS, Echo Trail, and Echo Average functions.
The M1835 radar also uses the latest signal processing technology for GAIN, SEA, and RAIN adjustment. Introduced with the latest series of DRS radar antennas, it ensures improved reliability and superior performance compared to previous models.
The new M1815 model has the same menus and screen layout as the best-selling professional radar, the M1835, making it easy and intuitive to use. The keypad has been simplified while maintaining functionality, features, and performance comparable to a professional radar.
The M1815 radar features the same chassis as the FCV588 sonar, allowing for a harmonious dashboard design for vessels installing both systems.
Installation of this new model is made easier by the “pig tail” cable which avoids having to open the antenna to make connections.
