The R2009 radar control unit features a professional-grade interface for Simrad Halo™ Pulse Compression radar solutions,
Designed to match the modern styling of Simrad instruments and glass bridge displays, this dedicated radar display is a perfect complement to your NSS evo2 or NSO evo2 multifunction display system. The R2009 maximizes screen size in environments where mounting space is limited, with a compact 9-inch portrait display ideal for center consoles. The vertical layout provides a radar image that fills nearly the full width of the screen; alarms, indicators, and target tracking information appear in widescreen panels above and below the main radar display.
Robust design with flexible mounting options
Designed to meet the needs of offshore cruisers, sportfishing vessels, and commercial vessels, the R2009/R3016 supports flush-mount installation in a console or helm, or on the included gimbal bracket. Waterproof rear connectors ensure the R2009 is IPX7-rated waterproof on all sides, in both installation types.
Using the keypad with direct access menu keys
The R2009 is operated using an integrated keypad and rotary dial. Direct-access menu keys next to the display navigate adjacent on-screen menu options for quick, intuitive access to key functions and settings. With long-term use, reliability, and clear tactile feedback, the R2009's large buttons are ideal in rough seas, when operating at high speeds, with wet hands, or when wearing gloves.
Network connectivity and expansion
The R2009 radar control head connects to compatible Simrad radar systems via Ethernet, offering simple installation and easy networking of multiple control heads and radar systems. The R2009 also features dual NMEA 0183® ports and NMEA 2000® connectivity for compatible devices, such as heading and speed sensors, AIS, and GPS.
HDMI output for display mirroring
To create a secondary radar display that mirrors the built-in screen, connect a Simrad MO Series marine monitor or other compatible display to the R3016's HDMI output. To create a fully functional "clone" station, ideal for vessels with dual helms, add a second, non-interactive radar display or combine an additional display with the optional Simrad O2000 wired remote.
