SONAR COMMUNICATION: CONNECTING DEEPER
This revolutionary dive communication buoy works within the Garmin dive ecosystem, allowing surface crew members to monitor and track their dive groups as well as exchange preset messages with divers using a compatible dive computer paired with the Descent T2 transmitter. Networked divers can also see their distance and bearing from the buoy for return home.

REMOTE MONITORING OF DIVERS
Surface crew can monitor divers equipped with compatible dive computers (paired with
Descent T2 tank pressure transmitters), displaying depths and more. Automatic alerts can inform surface crew if there is a problem with tanks or shallower depth ranges.
TWO-WAY MESSAGING
Using the
Garmin Dive smart device app, surface crews can exchange preset messages with networked Descent™ dive computers, alerting divers if there's a situation they need to pay attention to. The Descent S1 buoy also extends the range of diver-to-diver messaging.
DIVER POSITION TRACKING
Those on the surface can track the approximate distance to any diver in the SubWave sonar network, up to 100 meters away from the Buoy Descent S1.
FIND MY BUOY
Divers connected to the network can see distances and directions back to the Boa Descent™ S1, providing them with a clear reference to return to base and increased situational awareness .
THE POST-DIVE
Once they surface, networked divers can review their underwater heatmaps on the Garmin Dive smartphone app to see approximately where they were.
