Garmin Rudder angle sensor (feedback)

Pair the sensor with the GHP 12 ™ to obtain rudder position data and to detect and prevent rudder stopping while boating or sailing.

The GRF 10 uses a magnetic sensor to transmit position information while eliminating friction, the main cause of wear in other types of sensors. The arm of the GRF 10 is connected to the rudder of the boat and transmits position information to mariners through the sensor so that they are always aware of the position of the rudder. It therefore offers invaluable help when starting from a rest position, mooring, launching or when moving at low speed.

Furthermore, the GRF 10 allows you to:
Know the position of the rudder without having to look back
Carry out maneuvers more easily and avoid overcompensation
Reduce wear and strain on the autopilot system by avoiding forcing the rudder when it is already parked on the left or right.

D Buona sera, sto valutando l installazione del sensore GRF 10 sul mio sistema aitopilota Reactor 40 compact. Da quanto ho capito il GRF va collegato sulla ECU lì dove però ora è collegato il cavo feedback della pompa idraulica? E se così fosse il cavo della pompa rimane scollegato? R Buongiorno, purtroppo no, perchè questo sensore è adatto solamente per essere collegato agli autopiloti Garmin. Le servirebbe un sensore feedback NMEA 2000 l'unica azienda che li produce è Simrad/B&G. Potremmo effettuare un test per vedere se è compatibile con il 721xs. Cordiali saluti. Luigi Bianchi
