Garmin Radar antenna GMR 18 xHD3

Equipped with advanced features typically found only on open arrays, these powerful 18” and 24” radomes offer more precise detection of marine traffic, obstacles and weather for peace of mind while on the water.

The lightweight and durable radar antenna offers 4 kW of transmission power and a dual-range mode for extremely safe navigation. Furthermore, the "No Transmit Zone" function allows you to select a specific area of the radar sector and deactivate it in special cases.
By connecting the GMR 18 xHD3 antenna to a multifunction display and an optional heading sensor, you can take advantage of the MARPA function which allows you to obtain information on the navigation status of other vessels such as heading, course and speed, for up to 10 targets at the same time.

Connecting to the network
The GMR 18 xHD antenna can be connected to your existing Garmin Marine Network in a plug-and-play fashion. Once connected, your onboard multifunction displays can display the information from the antenna.

ADJUSTING THE ANGLE TARGET SIZE
Pulse Expansion and angular target size processing optimize object shapes on the screen for better interpretation at all scales.
FASTER SCANNING ANTENNA
Spin speed up to 60 RPM improves reprocessing speed for faster target updates.
ECHO TRAIL FUNCTION
A “historical trail” of vessels through the water is displayed on screen, eliminating the relative influence of drift to help you quickly spot moving targets and potential collision threats.
DUAL RANGE WITH OVERLAY
A single radar antenna can provide side-by-side images on your chartplotter display with independent settings and controls for both short- and long-range coverage. Overlay one or both ranges on a chart.
DYNAMIC AUTO GAIN
Auto Gain technology automatically adjusts gain settings to the optimal level for better viewing of marine, coastal and open water.
