The new VHF 315i is a modular system that ensures maximum convenience on large vessels where a station with multiple communication positions is required or on vessels where there is no space to install a traditional VHF on the console.
It features Class D DSC digital selective calling for distress calls and direct calls with a user-programmed MMSI, ensuring safety in any situation and meeting the latest industry standards. Programmed with international navigation channels, it is easy to use and integrates seamlessly with the onboard Garmin Marine system. It features a built-in GPS receiver with a connector for an optional external antenna.
The VHF 315i includes a GHS 11i handset and a new active speaker for use as an intercom for up to 3 stations. The GHS 11i is a compact and rugged, fully waterproof handset featuring a 2" LCD display, a multifunction keypad, and dedicated buttons for accessing channel 16 and DSC. This device can also be used as a secondary station for the VHF unit.
The new VHF 315i's selectable 1/25W transmit power provides peace of mind and safety for everyone on board. NMEA 2000 connectivity allows for easy integration with compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays, and simplifies software updates.
