Icom IC-M85E Portable VHF

The IC-M85E is a compact , rugged radio that operates on the marine VHF band and can be programmed to professional PMR frequencies. It's ideal for onboard communications or port operations.

The IC-M85E is a miniature marine radio that can also be programmed on VHF/PMR terrestrial channels (136-174 MHz) with 12.5kHz channel spacing and CTCSS/DTCS tones.
Due to its features, it is undoubtedly the ideal radio for on-board communications, for activities within construction sites or in ports.
Compliant with MIL-STD-810 and rated IP67, the IC-M85E is designed for the most extreme uses.
It integrates three very important emergency management functions: MOB (Man Overboard), Man Down, and Lone Worker. If one of these functions is activated, the radio automatically sounds an emergency alarm.
Other features include confidentiality of communications thanks to the integrated Voice Scramble and the Vox function, particularly useful for communicating without having to press the PTT button, thus allowing hands-free operation.

Main Functions:

Lone Worker
The Lone Worker feature constantly monitors the device for movement and vibration. When a lack of movement or vibration is detected after a preset time, the radio automatically sends an alarm.
Man Down
The Man Down function constantly monitors the device's inclination relative to a preset standard (vertical) position. When a device inclination different from the preset one is detected, the radio automatically sends an alarm.
AquaQuake
When water enters the speaker grille, Icom's exclusive AquaQuake function emits a buzzing sound to drain the water from the speaker. This function, activated by pressing two buttons simultaneously, ensures crisp, clear audio at all times.
