Always at the forefront of technology, with its long engineering experience of over 60 years, Icom has developed the IC-M94DE, the latest addition to the marine handheld transceivers, with the aim of creating a portable VHF with an intuitive user interface and high performance, to take advantage of the highest safety standards available today.
This result was achieved by integrating all the most important advanced functions into this top-of-the-range transceiver, including an AIS (Automatic Identification System) receiver, DSC (Digital Selective Calling) in class H , a GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver based on GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) systems, making it possible to call for help via the Distress button, which allows the geographical coordinates and MMSI of the vessel in distress to be automatically sent.

This ergonomically designed handheld VHF fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and features a large, high-contrast LCD display that allows clear, well-defined characters and icons to be read in any condition, even in bright sunlight.
The user interface with white backlit function keys has been designed to ensure simple and intuitive use of the device. The combined use of the navigation keys and function keys ensures quick access to all available functions.
Furthermore, this new device has an RF power of 6W and a battery life of 10 hours (with a 5-5-90 operating cycle) thanks to a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2400mAh.
Among its many features, the MOB (Man Over Board) function is also worth highlighting. If the IC-M94DE falls into water, it floats, and the LCD screen, buttons, and emergency button on the rear panel flash, helping you recover it. Pressing the emergency button while the Float'n Flash is active will transmit the MOB distress signal.
