You need to know the volume (in cubic centimeters) of the cylinder(s) mounted on the rudder stock on boats with inboard or outboard engines. You'll find this information in your steering system manual.

Advise
If you can't find the cylinder volume in your steering system manual, you can determine the make and model directly from the cylinder. You can then use our hydraulic cylinder ram cross-reference guide to determine which autopilot pump is compatible with your boat's hydraulic steering system.

D Buongiorno, 2 anni fa ho comprato un 23 piedi WA usato, spinto da uno Yamaha 4t 250 cv. Monta un autopilota Raymarine ST6000+ che aziona direttamente una pompa Tipo1 e una vecchia bussola (quella tonda per intendersi). lo uso quasi solo in navigazione ma non mi trovo bene perchè tende a fare numerose "virgole". Ho fatto un po di settaggi ma è migliorato veramente poco.... mi chiedo se è una prerogativa di questo sistema oppure sbaglio qualche parametro.... In alternativa, è possibile reinstallare un moderno e più efficiente autopilota mantenendo però la pompa (che mi sembra uno degli oggetti più costoso)? Grazie mille.
R 01-03-2021 Buongiorno, sì, ci siamo resi conto anche noi che questi autopiloti hanno dato qualche problema quando installati su imbarcazioni con motori fuori bordo, perchè molto sensibili sul fatto che dovevano avere sempre efficiente la corretta installazione e funzionamento del sensore feedback. Oggi i nuovi autopiloti, possono funzionare correttamente senza l'installazione di tale sensore, Le chiedo pertanto conferma che la Sua imbarcazione abbia installata a bordo la pompa Tipo 1, grazie.
