An exceptional, ruggedly constructed 4′ antenna for general-purpose communications. It's ideal for T-tops, hardtops, and other overhead locations, where its compact size provides maximum range. The 5401-XT features an exclusive Galaxy Black finish.

VHF marine radios, with quality Shakespeare® antennas, are affordable and a primary requirement on most vessels. VHF equipment is installed on all large ships and most small marine vessels, and is also used on rivers and lakes. The VHF radio frequency range is 156.0 to 162.025 MHz. Transmit power ranges from 1 to 25 watts, with an effective small-boat range of approximately 5 nautical miles (9 km; 6 mi) between antennas.
