RAM4X Wireless Second Station Features
Wirelessly control all GX2400 radio functions with the RAM4X wireless remote access microphone interface. Using the SCU-30 wireless access point attached to the back of the radio, you can synchronize up to 4 RAM4X units. With a range of up to 65 feet, the RAM4X allows you to control all radio functions including DSC calling, position polling, group calling, and more, or use the RAM4X for intercom between the master station or other wireless RAM4X units.
Integrated AIS receiver
The GX2400 Matrix AIS/GPS/NMEA2000 displays AIS target information (MMSI, call sign, vessel name, BRG, DST, SOG, and COG) on the large front panel display. Having this information allows you to contact an AIS vessel directly using DSC, shows your vessel's position in relation to AIS targets, and warns you when an AIS vessel might be approaching your position via a Closest Point of Approach (CPA) alarm.
Built-in 30 Watt PA / megaphone
Powerful 30-watt built-in PA system with megaphone and listening capability. Switch to foghorn mode to select one of the pre-programmed fog signals, complete with siren and horn functions. For added convenience, the last selected VHF channel can still be monitored in PA or Fog modes.
