StructureScan® 3D
Lowrance StructureScan® 3D gives anglers a dramatic, three-dimensional view of fish, structure and bottom contours. StructureScan® 3D imaging scans underwater terrain and fish-holding structure to create a high-resolution, 180-degree, three-dimensional view of the bottom beneath the boat. This unique imagery gives anglers a greater understanding of where fish and structure are located in relation to the boat. The picture-like, three-dimensional views appear on Lowrance HDS Gen3 series fishfinder/chartplotters when used with the SideScan 3D Skimmer® transducer and StructureScan® 3D module.
Lowrance® 3D StructureScan 3D features multi-beam sonar technology that produces clear images with stunning detail, converting analysis of underwater terrain and fish-holding structure into high-resolution, 180-degree, three-dimensional views. Lifelike 3D scans appear on Lowrance HDS Gen 3 / Live series fishfinders/chartplotters when used in conjunction with the SidesScan 3D Skimmer® transducer and the StructureScan® 3D module.
Easy-to-understand sonar images View 3D from any angle with ScanTrack™ control for pan, tilt and rotation using on-screen touch controls and easy-to-use preset viewing positions.
Quickly locate key fishing areas
StructureScan® 3D helps anglers more easily understand the location of fish and holding structure in relation to their boat. With a wide 180-degree scanning range, by slowly moving toward a potential fishing area with the engine idling, anglers can search for key areas such as sudden depth changes, points, ditches, rock piles, accumulations of branches and foliage, weeds, weedy timber, wrecks, and more.
Unmatched SideScan image clarity To ensure even clearer SideScan views, the StructureScan 3D transducer design has been improved with the addition of new sensors for higher quality images.
Even wider High Definition (HD) 3D scanning See underwater contours to the sides of your boat—up to 600 feet to port and starboard—in incredibly detailed, high-definition views. StructureScan® 3D offers multiple views, including two-dimensional DownScan Imaging™ and StructureScan® HD views, as well as new, lifelike three-dimensional views. Using preset viewpoint angles or ScanTrack™ pan, tilt, and control mode, you can adjust the view and perspective beneath your boat. The combination of custom 3D and HD views provides greater fish location awareness based on cover and optimizes your search for fishing areas.
Leading Edge™ Scan References Leading Edge™ scanning references provide clear graphical illustrations of sonar beams striking bottom contours. The depth and extent of the last scanned area are indicated by red fan-shaped symbols directly beneath the vessel. Leading Edge also includes a depth scale that shows depth in greater detail as you zoom in, giving you a better sense of target depth.
SelectScan™ Target Identification SelectScan™ automatically shades fish-holding cover and suspended targets in a contrasting color from your selected color palette, making target identification quicker and easier than ever before.
Vertical Enhancement Control Vertical Enhancement is a user-selectable scale applied to the screen that provides greater detail on vertical elevation changes and critical contour changes, making them more easily identifiable from the surrounding underwater terrain. Vertical Enhancement makes even the smallest changes in depth more visible.
Waypoint overlay Viewing fishing areas, structure, and other underwater features is even clearer with the waypoint overlay. You can use the waypoint keypad to save a waypoint at your vessel's position, or switch to cursor mode and save a waypoint on specific targets, bait, or cover.
Automatic 3D image settings 3D imaging settings are automatically adjusted in the default HDS Gen 3 configuration and in the StructureScan 3D module. You can adjust the surface transparency and contrast settings using the on-screen slider. Surface transparency reduces surface clutter by decreasing the receiver's sensitivity near the surface. Contrast lightens or darkens the color palette to make it easier to see fish and structure.
