See and be seen with integrated AIS B&G's RS40B range of VHF radios offers the option of a Class B AIS receiver (RS40) or transceiver (RS40B), which not only receives AIS targets but also transmits your yacht's position to nearby AIS-equipped vessels. This will allow other mariners to locate your vessel in any conditions, day or night. AIS information can be displayed on the radio's built-in screen or overlaid on a chart or radar screen using a compatible chartplotter.
Removable ergonomic grip microphone The RS40-B's removable jack microphone can be connected to the front or rear of the radio, while optional extension cables allow the radio and microphone to be mounted separately. This provides a simple and cost-effective solution for any installation location, eliminating cable clutter. For example, the RS40-B can be suspended, with no trailing cables, while the microphone is connected to an extension jack on the console.
Expandable with wireless handset Add an optional wireless handset to take your radio anywhere on the boat. The HS40 handset is designed as an intuitive portable companion to the HS40 radio. Each handset duplicates the radio's display and controls, allowing remote access to all key functions. Up to two wireless handsets can be connected to a single base station. With multiple handsets connected, the HS40 radio also becomes a convenient onboard intercom.
