It can easily set a virtual starting line between two points (e.g., a buoy and a judge's boat) and synchronize it with the race timer, providing the distance and speed to maintain or reach to cross the starting line at the exact moment. While navigating, the GPS 73 can also indicate the course on the opposite tack, providing a more efficient and controlled sailing experience.
Storing important data Thanks to the NMEA 0183 network, you can connect the GPS 73 to other devices on board or, via a USB cable, you can connect it to your PC to save data recorded during navigation or create the route for the next regatta directly from home thanks to the free Garmin HomePort™ software.
