SolarMAX™ 7-inch widescreen HD display SolarMAX™ HD display technology revolutionizes the way onboard electronics are viewed, delivering high definition and clear visibility regardless of operating conditions. Clear visibility is ensured from any position, whether seated or standing, with wide-angle viewing. Bright LED backlighting and an anti-glare coating provide enhanced daytime visibility; SolarMAX™ HD displays are designed to withstand the heat of the summer sun and are perfect for outdoor installations. These all-weather displays feature a special optical glass that prevents condensation and fogging. The SolarMAX™ HD display offers maximum visibility in all weathers and conditions.
Reliable control in every situation NSS evo3 displays give you complete control of your route. You can easily switch between various control features on the intuitive touchscreen and the built-in keypad with rotary dial. All display functions can be controlled via the touchscreen or the keypad, giving you the flexibility to use the controls that best suit the current conditions and the task at hand. The NSS evo3's keypad controls also allow you to lock the touchscreen and use a classic button-and-dial interface, without the need for a separate keypad.
Integrated depth sounder The built-in sonar module included with every NSS evo3 display offers a wide range of Simrad sonar technologies suitable for a variety of sportfishing and cruising applications. StructureScan® HD imaging combines DownScan and SideScan sonar to provide picture-like images of fish-holding structure, while award-winning ForwardScan® sonar offers a safer navigation experience with a clear view of the bottom ahead of your vessel. Broadband Sounder™ technology offers CHIRP-compatible fish-finding sonar, including support for all TotalScan™ all-in-one transducers and dual-channel CHIRP transducers. Dual-channel transducers provide multiple depth range coverage and wider beams in a single unit, perfect for targeting specific parts of the water column in sportfishing applications. Dual transducer ports allow simultaneous use of StructureScan® HD or ForwardScan® and CHIRP sonar or traditional sonar.
Compatible with Simrad expansion modules NSS evo3 displays are compatible with Simrad expansion modules, including StructureScan® 3D imaging for strategic adjustments, S5100 broadband sonar with CHIRP, and many other plug-and-play network modules. Module functionality can be shared between multiple NSS evo3 displays, while the ability to add modules at any time allows you to easily expand your Simrad display system based on your boating interests and technology needs.
Radar system control Expand your view with Halo™ Pulse Compression Radar, Broadband Radar™, or other HD digital radar solutions. NSS evo3 displays integrate seamlessly with these networked Simrad radar solutions to provide a complete radar interface with simple preset modes, custom manual tuning, MARPA target tracking, guard zones, overlay views, and more, depending on your radar system.
Simrad autopilot integration Enjoy complete control of your Simrad autopilot with the NSS evo3 touchscreen or keypad. Set a course, hold a course against wind and current, tack to a waypoint, or follow a complex route with simple on-screen controls. NSS evo3 displays can be used as the sole controller for a black box autopilot system, or combined with dedicated autopilot controllers and wireless remotes. A networked Simrad autopilot system can be controlled from any NSS evo3 display onboard, ideal for dual-helm vessels.
NMEA 2000® Connectivity Industry-standard NMEA 2000® connectivity enables integration with a wide range of Simrad and third-party electronics onboard, including engine and fuel control functionality, digital instrumentation, AIS integration, audio system control and more.
Built-in 10Hz GPS receiver All NSS evo3 displays include a high-gain, high-speed GPS/GLONASS receiver that updates its position ten times per second, ideal for precise tracking of fast powerboats. This eliminates the need to purchase and install a separate GPS receiver for outdoor bracket-mount installations and flush-mount installations on many fiberglass boats. An optional external GPS receiver can be used as an auxiliary position source or in some installations where the receiver cannot obtain a clear GPS signal.
Customizable function key The NSS evo3 display includes a user-programmable function key that provides instant access to your chosen functions. This means you can press a single button to access frequently used functions, such as navigation, autopilot, or radar. Alternatively, you can assign the button to a function you want close at hand—for example, create a MOB key for emergencies, a dedicated key for recording sonar logs for Insight Genesis, or a key to lock the touchscreen while using the keypad or an external controller. You can choose between two functions: one for a quick press and one for a long press.
TripIntel™ Technology Designed for powerboats, TripIntel™ technology tracks and displays the information you need to plan a safe and enjoyable trip. Make smarter decisions with fuel range overlaid on charts, easy access to current and future tide levels, and a detailed trip history. While underway, the Cruise Performance Indicator makes it easy to adjust throttle trim for maximum fuel economy and help you stay in the green zone, maximizing range and reducing fuel costs.
Simplified navigation thanks to autorouting Autorouting offers the same convenience and simplicity of in-car navigation on boats, allowing you to plot a route and get underway with less delay. Simply select a destination and the NSS evo3 display will recommend the shortest, safest route, taking into account draft and vessel size. This feature is available with Navionics+ or Navionics Platinum charts (Navionics Autorouting) and with Jeppesen CMAP MAX-N+ charts (Jeppesen Easy Routing).
Built-in GoFree™ Wi-Fi Built-in GoFree™ Wi-Fi enables online chart downloads, Insight Genesis map creation, and system-wide software updates. You can browse and purchase a wide range of online cartography options from the GoFree™ store and download charts directly to your display's memory card without leaving the helm. Sonar logs captured on your display can be uploaded directly to the Insight Genesis cloud service to create detailed custom charts, a perfect way to explore your favorite inland and coastal fishing areas. GoFree™ online services can be used anywhere you have a Wi-Fi internet connection.
